Spanish and Portuguese Wines

RIOJA Tinto Sin Crianza 2014 Navajas (Red)
Good colour, fresh strawberry fruit flavours, with notes of vanilla from 3 months' ageing in oak barrels.

RIOJA Blanco Crianza 2013 Navajas (White)
Well oaked, traditional white Rioja.

RIOJA Tinto Crianza 2012 Navajas (Red)
Exemplary Rioja, 95% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo, soft with delightful strawberry, vanilla and black cherry flavours. Delicious!

URBAN Ribera 2014 O. Fournier (Red)
100% Tinta del Pais - otherwise known as Tempranillo - this is deep and dark in colour, rich in flavour, with nicely integrated oak (the wine spends 3 months in oak barrels), long and luscious in the mouth. Highly recommended.

CHACOLÍ DE GUETARIA 2015 Txomin Etxaniz (White)
Spain's smallest DO - this is just about Spain's best white wine - apart from one or two interesting white Riojas: crisp, refreshing, with a slight carbonic prickle from being kept on its lees. Excellent on its own, and with fish, particularly shellfish.

RIOJA Tinto Reserva 2010 Marques de Murrieta
Classic, old-fashioned red Rioja. This is still quite firm - a long future ahead of it.
