A smell of wax and elderflower; refreshing, full flavour in the mouth. This is a Fairtrade wine. Recommended.

CH. LA CANORGUE 2005 AC Côtes du Luberon ORGANIC
Mainly Syrah (70%), with Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. Delicious fresh fruit, making this excellent to drink now but can also be cellared for at least a decade - a bottle of the 1992 drunk recently was in absolutely top form.

CHÂTEAUNEUF DU PAPE (Rouge) 1999 Domaine de Marcoux ORGANIC
This wine ages magnificently. A lighter, less beefy style, but wears its 14% alcohol with elegance and balance. A bottle of this tasted recently displayed tannins that are still very firm - this needs keeping a while yet.

Extraordinary wine: amazingly sweet entry (indicating ripeness), smoky, spicy flavour, with wonderful full finish. Could do with cellaring, though I like it now!
