CHENIN Vin de France Blanc Sec  Pascal Pibaleau      (limited stock)
This is a curiosity that I shipped years ago. Pascal Pibaleau's vineyards are in the appellation of Azay-le-Rideau. He has now retired, and no longer produces wines from his domaine. He was an early adopter of organic farming in the vineyards, and this wine is certified "Agriculture biologique et biodynamique". He was a maverick and an experimenter. The appellation authorities refused to allow him to label this wine Azay-le-Rideau because they said it didn't comply with their regulations. As a result, he was not allowed to put a vintage on the label. It is, however, from the 2013 vintage - as you pull the cork, have a look at it, and you will see "2013" printed on it! The wine is serious, grown-up Chenin Blanc, still lively and drinking well.
