TOURAINE Cépage Sauvignon 2007
Domaine Pascal Pibaleau
This wine from Pascal Pibaleau has been a great success: real Sauvignon character, with a nice bit of fullness and weight.

  £7.95

TOURAINE AZAY-LE-RIDEAU Rosé 2007 Pibaleau
Clean, fresh-tasting, delicious rosé.

  £7.35

TOURAINE AZAY-LE-RIDEAU Blanc Sec (Chenin Blanc) 2005
Domaine Pascal Pibaleau

Ripe, full and rich, with flavours of nettles and gooseberries.

  £8.45

CHINON "Cuvée Prestige" 2007 Domaine Claude Aubert (Red)
Well made, well priced, very correct Chinon from a small grower based near the village of Cravant-les-Coteaux. Recommended.

  £8.55

TOURAINE AZAY-LE-RIDEAU (Chenin Blanc) 2005
Domaine Pascal Pibaleau
This is still very youthful with lots of flowery Sauvignon-like smells and flavours, but will develop to reveal classic Chenin Blanc characteristics.

  £8.45

JASNIÈRES "Cuvée Tradition" (Chenin Blanc) 2001
Domaine Bénédicte de Rycke
Startlingly intense wet wool smell, extraordinary, deep yellow/gold colour, and brisk, dry flavour that is brilliant, thrilling and right off the register - you need to adjust your senses before drinking. However, Oz Clarke likes it: he has selected it as one of his TOP 20 wines for his Wine Buying Guide 2007. Drink on its own either before or after a meal, or with smelly cheeses such as Munster and Époisses.

  £8.70

QUINCY 2008 Domaine des Croix
Exemplary Loire Sauvignon - drink instead of Sancerre.

  £9.95

SAUMUR 2004 Domaine Guiberteau (Red)
The colour is showing virtually no age, and the flavour is still firm - needs food. This still has a long future ahead.

  £9.66

JASNIÈRES "Cuvée Louise" (Chenin Blanc) 2005
Domaine Bénédicte de Rycke
Slightly more weight here than in 2004 - fuller fruit.

  £9.85

SAUMUR Blanc (Chenin Blanc) 2004 Domaine Guiberteau
This wine is matured in new oak, which is nevertheless very well integrated. Outstanding dry Loire white.

  £11.50

TOURAINE AZAY-LE-RIDEAU Moelleux (Chenin Blanc) 2003 (Sweet white)
Domaine Pascal Pibaleau
A gold medal winner in Paris, this wine is made from super-ripe, late-picked grapes (harvested at 17% potential alcohol).
Wonderful honeyed, nettly nose, quite sweet in the mouth, tempered by balancing acidity, and an amazingly persistent finish.

  £12.50

SANCERRE 2009 Domaine André Dezat
Absolutely top quality Sancerre.

  £13.95
