All seriously delicious.

RIESLING - HOCHGEWÄCHS Halbtrocken 2008 Carl Schloeder
Hochgewächs is a little known, rarely seen quality indicator on a German wine label - as if German wine labels weren't already complicated enough. Although labelled "Halbtrocken", this is pretty dry, with impressively pure Riesling smell and flavour. Very refreshing.

PIESPORTER GOLDTRÖPFCHEN Riesling-Hochgewächs 2004 Bollig-Lehnert
Pure, single vineyard Riesling from a meticulous grower

  £9.50

TRITTENHEIMER ALTÄRCHEN Riesling Kabinett Feinherb 1994 Bollig-Lehnert
Extraordinary wine - tastes of peaches - peaches in their skins (a hint of furry flavour). This is dry, thrillingly fresh and makes a wonderful aperitif.

  £9.75

DHRONER HOFBERGER Riesling Kabinett 2005 Bollig-Lehnert
Still some development ahead here, but lovely, clearly defined Riesling fruit.

  £9.99

RÜDESHEIMER BERG ROSENECK Riesling Spätlese 2003
Josef Leitz
This is absolutely bright as a button, with wonderful acidity underpinning lush, ripe fruit - fairly sweet, but nevertheless brilliant as an aperitif because of its crispness.
