2004 always looked promising, and now that it has been released it does not disappoint: deepish colour, with very persistent mousse; plenty of apple on the nose; in the mouth, appley at first, but then the flavour develops - hazelnuts, blossom, a hint of baked apple, toffee. Delicious - this is really fine vintage champagne.
