MALVASIA Secco IGT Emilia Cavicchioli Light, grapy, dry (though because of its fruity grapiness doesn't taste too dry), made in the same way as Prosecco, this is excellent value fizz.

GUY DE FOREZ Millésimé 2004 2004 always looked promising, and now that it has been released it does not disappoint: deepish colour, with very persistent mousse; plenty of apple on the nose; in the mouth, appley at first, but then the flavour develops - hazelnuts, blossom, a hint of baked apple, toffee. Delicious - this is really fine vintage champagne.
