Well oaked, traditional white Rioja.

  £7.95

RIOJA Tinto Crianza "Banda Azul" 2007 Federico Paternina (Red)

Classic, old-fashioned Rioja, well-oaked, with flavours of strawberries and leather. This wine is very popular (and much seen) in Spain.
  £8.50

RIOJA Tinto Crianza 2007 Bodegas Darien (Red)
This comes from a new producer that set up in Rioja within the last 15 years. Meaty, gutsy Rioja, with delicious plump fruit.
MAGNUMS  (2005) also available @ £18.95

  £9.95

RIOJA BLANCO Reserva " Capellania" 2002 Marques de Murrieta (White)
The style of Marques de Murrieta's white has changed: it is now softer, with less aggressive oak, and lacks the slight oxidation that it used to have. Packaged in an incredibly smart new bottle.

  £11.95

CHACOLI DE GUETARIA 2010 Txomin Etxaniz (White)
Spain's smallest DO - this is just about Spain's best white wine - apart from one or two interesting white Riojas: crisp, refreshing, with a slight carbonic prickle from being kept on its lees. Excellent on its own, and with fish, particularly shellfish.

  £13.95

RIOJA TINTO Reserva 2005 Marques de Murrieta (Red)
This is really wonderful, classic red Rioja.

  £15.95
