Italian Wines

MONTEPULCIANO D'ABRUZZO 2020 Rubino Principe (Red)
Excellent value red: lots of colour, and bouncy flavour. A good example of what you might call a trattoria wine.

  £8.95

"Il Santo" Nistri (Sweetish white) Half bottles
Similar to Vin Santo, but technically a Vino Liquoroso because it's fortified (it is consequently considerably cheaper!). Excellent value. Although fairly sweet it is best drunk on its own, or dunked with cantuccini.

  £8.95

"CAMPOLIETI" Valpolicella Ripasso 2018 Luigi Righetti (Red)
This is a tip-top Ripasso, given oak barrel treatment (though the oak is nicely integrated).

  £14.50

MONTEPULCIANO d'ABRUZZO 2016 Villa Sant'Angelo
Serious Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, bottled in 2019 - a fine example of the quality that the Montepulciano grape can produce in the right hands.

  £14.95

BAROLO 2016 Giacomo Fenocchio (Red)
